Acupressure

Acupressure is a form of hands on therapy. It is the manipulation of acupuncture points along the meridians using ones finger tips, palms, and hands instead of needles. It has the same benefits as acupuncture, but can also be used to release bound tissue that is adhered to itself. With the use of acupressure the tissue can be softened and adhesions can be loosened, allowing blood and Qi to move through the area once more. This method works well in combination with acupuncture especially in regards to sports injuries or muscle/skeletal injuries.

Great adjunct for other modalities such as physical therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic.

This method would be a good alternative for those who have phobias of needles.
