Hello! My name is Katrina Jackson and I am a practitioner at Natural Health Solutions. I became interested in CranioSacral Therapy when my German Shepherd, Dylan, was diagnosed with a degenerative disease called cervical spondylomyelopathy or Wobbler’s Syndrome. I took my first CranioSacral Therapy class in search of an alternative treatment for his pain. Dylan seemed to enjoy the gentle and light touch techniques and showed improvement. I fell in love with CranioSacral Therapy and starting taking more classes with the Upledger Institute. I wanted to share this modality with others and went to school to earn my Massage Therapy Certificate from Columbus State Community College and graduated in August 2016.
With CranioSacral Therapy I can help people with migraines and headaches, chronic neck and back pain, stress and tension-related disorders, motor-coordination impairments, infant and childhood disorders, brain and spinal cord injuries, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, TMJ syndrome, scoliosis, central nervous system disorders, emotional difficulties, learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, post-traumatic stress disorder, orthopedic problems, and various other conditions.
CranioSacral Therapy can remove restrictions, tensions, and stress in the Craniosacral System that cause pain and discomfort which can provide pain relief, better mobility, and improve overall health. Daily life adds stress to the body and the central nervous system. The body responds to the stress by compensating until it reaches a threshold and the body can no longer maintain harmony and balance. The body then responds by creating tension which can cause the tissues to tighten that may be connected to the Craniosacral System and cause dysfunction. CranioSacral Therapy provides the body with the support it needs to relax, release restrictions, and return to balance which helps facilitate the body’s natural ability to self-correct and heal itself.
